sunrise bridals in moab
i’ve said it once and i’ll say it again: there is no one right way to do this whole wedding thing. sammi and august love the moab desert. they live in northern utah, but wanted to come down south for some sunrise bridals in moab before their courthouse ceremony the following week. when we met over facetime they were so easy to talk to and they were absolutely up for anything. since we were planning our time together for a weekend, i suggest a sunrise shoot and they were totally game. no questions asked.
i knew they wanted lots of red rock, and i always strive to get us away from the crowds, so i took us to a little locals spot down a dirt road, not terribly far from town. they put the final finishing touches on their dresses and make up, and we walked to the edge of a huge, open canyon. one a lot of people never see because they just drive right by.
it was a moody morning (which i love). low hanging clouds and a cool breeze. we talked about tattoos, work, and just how incredible this desert really is. these two beauties were married just a couple days later, and i want to wish them every single happiness in the world, because they certainly deserve it. congratulations sammi & august!
because of the moodier weather, i was totally in love with the black and white versions of a lot of their photos. they just both looked so gorgeous and classic set against the raw desert landscape. scroll down for a series of only black and white images!
