sally + nathan
canyonlands elopement
sally and nathan came from salt lake city to elope in canyonlands national park. when sally first reached out she was totally flexible with dates and aware of the fact that more often than not, moab is packed on weekends. because of this she and nathan decided (wisely) to elope mid-week, at a location that is only a short hike from the parking area.
we met at the mesa arch trailhead, putting the finishing touches on the nathan’s tie and helping to button up sally’s beautiful dress (being an elopement photographer is about so much more than just the photos!). we casually hiked to their ceremony site, getting to know each other a little better along the way.
in sally’s own words, her favorite aspect of eloping:
“Making it only about our relationship and not having to please other people. We also got to do more adventurous things as a couple. Also the gorgeous views and secret locations that Emily knows about were amazing! Loved it!”
after their intimate ceremony we hung out for a while and took some photos away from the crowds. there’s a beautiful view overlooking a massive canyon by mesa arch. then we hiked back to our cars and drove to another nearby overlook that is one of my absolute favorites. we didn’t see another soul where we went, and were able to have that epic desert golden hour all to ourselves.
congratulations sally & nathan!
