i have no idea what happened this year. how is it december already?! i’ve completely fallen behind at sharing photos here on my blog (sorry!), so now that it’s winter and the days are much shorter, i’m finally going to update this page with all of the amazing couples i got to spend time with this season, starting with this amazing couple and their grand canyon anniversary session.
as soon as i met lori in the parking lot of the north rim of the grand canyon, i knew we were going to be fast friends. actually, i think as soon as we started chatting over e-mail we both knew we were going to be amigas. she showed up with a gorgeous glowing smile, a stunning turquoise necklace, and she and her husband, matt, were both wearing chacos. yep. my people.

we spent the evening getting to know each other, chatting business (lori is a badass boss lady, she owns a pilates studio in north carolina), travel, and adventure. sometimes you only have to spend a few moments with a couple to know just how genuine their love truly is, and that was certainly the case with lori and matt. their laughter was contagious, and we had so much fun roaming around the edge of the grandest canyon together. if that wasn’t enough, we ended the session with ice cold beers and by far the most beautiful sunset any of us had ever seen (i think one of us cried, was it me, lori?). you have to look through all of these, especially get to the ones at the very end! i love my job. and i only wish i could have spent more time with these two lovebirds. thank you both.
