oooook. i don’t even know where to begin. this dead horse point engagement session with morgan & tim was a total dream. we spent the evening running around dead horse point state park in that perfect late summer light, chatting about their upcoming wedding, work, dogs (of course), and how amazing morgan’s dress is! i absolutely love when i get to shoot a couple’s engagements and their wedding. it gives them a chance to get used to me running around, so excited to take their photo, and just allows us some casual time to get to know each other a little better.
i always tell couples before we start shooting that i am not at all expecting them to model for me. in fact, i prefer them not to pose at all, but just to let me direct them, listen to my awful jokes, and i’ll do the rest. these two were so, so great. they were up for climbing around on whatever rock i pointed out, and we got to shoot until the sun dipped below the horizon, which is my favorite.
