arches national park anniversary photos

i feel like i can let these images speak for themselves. a golden pink sunrise and the kindest couple from germany on an epic trip for their anniversary (he proposed under delicate arch!) make for a gorgeous morning. we met in the parking lot in the dark. hugs were given, introductions were made, and we started the short but steep hike up to delicate arch. i appreciate these two so much. they’re both teachers, so they have a schedule that allows them scheduled, reliable vacation time every year. rather than wait until the last minute to figure out what they’ll do with that time, they make the most of it, planning international trips months ahead of time so that they can just hop on a plan as soon as their work is done and head out on another adventure. they’ve visited the southwest before and fell hard for this desert. they wanted to document a special place to them in the middle of their road trip, and i was beyond excited to share a sunrise with the two of them. i really want to do this on the next trip casey and i take, find a local photographer to capture some photos of the two of us, in a place we love. xo
